Using the Application:

Overview:

When you first start the game, your score (balance) is 1000. Play any of the 7 casino games you wish and try to get the highest score possible. If your score ever reaches 0, you will be informed and the game will return to the title screen and your score will be reset to 1000 for the next time you play.

When within a game, your total score (balance) is almost always* displayed in the upper left corner of the screen and the total bet amount for the current round or hand is almost always* displayed in the lower right corner of the screen.

Your total score is automatically saved. However, when you exit a game or return to the main menu, any bets that you have left on a table are forfeit.

* On some smaller phone screens not all user interface elements are always displayed simultaneously.

General Controls:

Extraordinary Casino’s game controls are intended to be as intuitive as possible

Most of the actions the player can choose from at any given time are represented by buttons labeled with an action and a corresponding number pad key. Pressing the specified key on the cell phone will perform that action. The defacto BREW standard also applies: The “OK /Select” button usually goes forward a screen. The “CLR/BACK” button usually goes back a screen.

Certain games, such as Craps and Roulette, will also have a cursor (a hand icon) that can be moved over the actual game board to place bets. In such cases, press either the “up”, “down”, “left”, or “right” button to move the cursor and press either the “OK” button to place a bet at that location or the “3” button to clear the bet at that location. To help you keep track of your bets, whenever the cursor hovers over a stack of chips, the value of that stack of chips will be displayed.

The game’s help file under the “Help” menu item also includes a section on controls. For any questions not answered by the game’s help screens or this page, please contact support@mobileblast.com

Game Rules:

Below are the basic rules used in Extraordinary Casino! You can also search the web or your local library for additional resources on these games.

Baccarat:

The object of the game is to guess the hand, “BANKER” or “PLAYER”, which will be closer to the sum of 9. “TIE” is also a valid bet. All bets must be placed before any cards are dealt and the dealer plays both hands. Thus this game is based mainly on pure luck. After all bets are placed, the dealer will deal two hands, the “BANKER” hand and “PLAYER” hand, both are two cards each. 10 and face cards are worth 0. Ace is worth 1 and 2-9 are worth their face values. Depending on the value of the “PLAYER” hand 1 additional card may be dealt. Then one additional card may be dealt to the “BANKER’s” hand if it meets certain values. The hand closer to 9 wins.

Blackjack:

The object of this game is to either get “blackjack”, where your first two cards add up to 21, or to have cards that add up to higher than the dealer’s cards without going over 21. If you have blackjack and the dealer does not, you win instantly. Otherwise you can “hit” to request as many extra cards as necessary to win until you “bust”, when your hand adds up to over 21. Cards 1 through 10 are worth their face value; Jacks, Queens, and Kings are worth 10; and Aces are worth either 1 or 11. The player can swap the Ace’s value at any time. The dealer follows the same rules as the player with the exception that he must “stand”, take no more cards, after his cards add up to 17 or over. Also, the dealer must stand on any seventeen. Any ties with the dealer, including Blackjacks, are considered a push, neither a win nor a loss.

There are many special cases in Blackjack. After your first two cards are dealt, it is sometimes possible that you can split, double down, surrender, or buy insurance.

Splitting:

If both cards are of the same value, you can split the two cards into two hands. This requires you to double your bet. The additional bet is used to play the second hand. Split hands can also be split again if it’s next card is also of the same value.

Double Down:

Most Blackjack rules allow you to double down on any opening hand. Since this is just a game, Extraordinary Casino! always allows this. You can only double down after receiving your first two cards. This will double your bet and hit once and only once. This is usually only recommended when your hand can possibly add up to 21 with only one additional card.

Surrender:

If your hand is very unlikely to beat the dealer’s, you can cut your losses. Immediately after receiving your first two cards, you can choose to surrender, or forfeit. Though you loose instantly, only half your bet is lost.

Insurance:

If the dealer has an Ace showing in his initial hand, you have the option of buying insurance. Insurance is a bet (of up to half of the initial bet) that the dealer has 21. If this is true, your insurance bet wins and pays 2 to 1. If not you lose your insurance bet and the round continues as normal.

Craps:

The goal of this game is to accurately guess the outcome of the roll of two dice. Players may wager against the casino on a single roll or a series. Wins and losses are determined by the value of the dice. Each round begins with a come out roll (the first roll). If the value is 7 or 11 the shooter wins. If the value is craps (2, 3 or 12) the shooter loses. 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 values are called the “point”. The shooter must throw the point again to win. If the shooter throws a 7 before the point is achieved the round is over and the shooter loses.

The most basic bet is called the “pass line bet”, which is a wager that the shooter will pass (either getting a 7 on the come out, or shooting the point before rolling a 7). This bet is placed before the come out roll and can not be removed from the table. The odds on this bet is 1:1. If a point is rolled, additional bets called “odds” (up to 5 times the original bet) may be placed behind the pass line bet. Unlike the original bet, the player may choose to take this bet off the table during subsequent rolls. These odds bets pay even greater than 1:1 depending on the point: 2-to-1 if 4 or 10 is the point, 3-to-2 if 5 or 9 is the point, and 6-to-5 if 6 or 8 is the point.

Pass line bets with odds bets are the most popular and yield the least house advantage. It's the best bet. However there are many other kinds of bets in craps, supported in Extraordinary Casino!, each with different odds.

  • Pass Line/Don't Pass Line
  • 3X-4X-5X Free Odds on Line Bets
  • Come/Don't Come
  • 3X-4X-5X Free Odds on Come Bets
  • Place Numbers
  • Buy Bets
  • Lay Bets
  • Field Numbers
  • Big 6 and Big 8
  • Center or Proposition Bets

Many of these bets can only be place after a point has been established. The web contains some good details on these kinds of bets. For example:

Pai Gow:

Using 7 cards, form two hands that each rank higher the dealer’s respective hands . The high hand (sometimes called 1st) has 5 cards in it and the low hand (sometimes called 2nd) has 2 cards. The low hand must be lower in value than the high hand. The order of hands are as follows from standard poker, from lowest to highest:

  • High Card
  • Pair
  • Two Pair
  • Three of a Kind
  • Straight
  • Flush
  • Full House
  • Four of a Kind
  • Straight Flush
  • Royal Flush

The only divergence from the poker hand rankings is the use of a single Joker card. It does not function as a wild card but as a bug. A bug functions as a wild card only to complete a straight or a flush, otherwise it functions as an Ace.

If both hands rank higher then the dealer’s respective hands, the player wins. If both hands are rank lower then the dealer’s respective hands the player loses. If one hand ties but the player’s other ranks lower then the dealer wins. If both hands rank the same the dealer wins. If one hand ranks higher and the other ranks lower then it’s a push (a tie) and no one wins.

Roulette:

Correctly bet on numbers, groups of numbers, rows, columns, and/or colors to win. After all bets are placed the roulette wheel is spun ball lands on a number in the wheel. Correctly betting on a single number pays 35:1. Betting on something with better probability of outcome such as RED, BLACK, EVEN, ODD, 1-18, 19-36 pays 1:1. Other bets are somewhere in between.

Extraordinary Casino! is American roulette (the inclusion of a double zero) with these bets supported:

Combination Bets

  • Straight Number (direct number, 35:1)
  • Split (two numbers, 17:1)
  • Street (three numbers in a column, 11:1)

  • Quint (five numbers, 00-3, 6:1)
  • Double Street (six numbers, 5:1)

Straigh Bets

  • Dozen Bet (a row of numbers, 2:1)
  • Column (1st, 2nd, or 3rd 12, 2:1)
  • Outside (red, black, 1-18..., 1:1)

Slots:

Put money in and spin the reels! The higher the bet the higher the payout on wins. Match like symbols horizontally or diagonally to win. Can bet on up to five lines, one coin for each additional line.

Video Poker:

This game is essentially five card draw poker with extra payouts. Bet up to 5 coins. Then click the deal button and review the hand. Remember that the goal is to get the highest possible ranking hand (See hand ranks in “Pai Gow” section above). Select which cards to hold and then select Deal. Unselected cards will be replaced. See pay table at Pai Gow for more details.

Multiplayer Options:

Extraordinary Casino! also supports a Tournament mode. In this mode you play for 10 minutes any combination of games. When time runs out you can choose to upload your score and see how you ranked compared to others! Airtime is required for use of this option.

Tips and Tricks:

Try to bet more than one dollar in most games because the casino often takes commissions on wins!
